Job summary

Soliant is seeking a contract Sign Language Interpreter to support a Deaf or Hard of Hearing student in a Bolingbrook-area school. This full-time, in-person role provides a meaningful 1:1 educational experience starting ASAP.

Proficiency in ASL with SLI certification is required. Prior school-setting interpreting experience is preferred, with strong communication, patience, and collaboration skills to work with educators, staff, and families.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Deliver accurate interpretation between spoken English and ASL throughout the school day.
• Facilitate communication for a student in classrooms per IEP.
• Collaborate with teachers and service providers to support instructional goals.
• Adapt materials or instruction to optimize comprehension.
• Maintain records documenting services as needed.
• Uphold professional conduct and confidentiality.
