Job summary

Soliant is seeking an ASL Interpreter to support students and educators throughout the school year in Brainerd, MN. The role offers full-time or part-time contract options and focuses on providing access to curriculum and fostering inclusion in the classroom.

Responsibilities include interpreting classroom instruction and school events, facilitating communication between Deaf/Hard of Hearing students and staff, and collaborating with teachers to support educational goals.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) required.
• Experience as an interpreter or in an educational setting is a plus.
• Ability to work with students, teachers, and staff.
• Certification or credentials per state guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Interpret classroom instruction, discussions, and events for students and staff.
• Support communication between D/deaf or Hard of Hearing students and hearing peers, teachers, and administrators.
• Adapt interpreting style to suit classroom dynamics and individual student needs.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to professional standards of conduct.
• Participate in team meetings and collaborate with teachers to support educational goals.
