Job summary

Select Construction in the NYC area is seeking an Assistant Project Manager / Superintendent to support the COO, project managers and superintendents with day-to-day operations. This full-time, on-site role requires hands-on construction experience, a proactive mindset, and a willingness to travel between project sites as needed.

You'll coordinate with subcontractors, assist with schedules, submittals, RFIs, field logistics, and closeout tasks while upholding safety and organization on each job

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or related field; or 2+ years of relevant construction experience.
• Proficiency with Procore (preferred).
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and a team player.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, and project team members
• Support field operations, sequencing, and the project schedule
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized job site
• Read and interpret architectural, structural, and MEP/FP drawings
• Assist with submittals, RFIs, and project documentation
• Prepare look-ahead schedules, daily logs, and photo reports
• Help manage material deliveries, load-ins, and site logistics
• Assist with project closeout and demobilization
• Identify and communicate field issues promptly
