Job summary

Job description

Responsibilities
  • Design, analyze, develop, modify, and evaluate VLSI components and hardware systems.
  • Determine architecture and logic design, perform design verification through software developed for component and system simulation.
  • Build physical implementations by developing multidimensional designs, including layout of complex integrated circuits.
  • Analyze designs to establish operating data, conduct experimental tests, and evaluate results to enable prototype and production VLSI solutions.
  • Provide technical expertise and lead project teams of Electronic and VLSI engineers, including internal and outsourced development partners, across all stages of VLSI design and development.
  • Review and evaluate designs and activities for compliance with VLSI technology and development guidelines and standards; provide feedback to improve product quality.
  • Offer VLSI‑specific and overall architecture design leadership on cross‑organization projects, programs, and activities.
  • Mentor less experienced staff and participate in selection of future technical leaders.
  • Drive VLSI innovation and integrate new technologies into projects and activities within the design organization.
Education & Experience
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent.
  • 6–10 years of experience in VLSI design, verification, or implementation.
  • Experience with scripting languages (Python, PERL, TCL or equivalent).
  • Experience with software programming languages (C; C++).
  • Experience with Verilog/SystemVerilog.
  • Proficient in UVM methodologies; Specman knowledge is a plus.
Skills & Knowledge
  • Expert level proficiency in electrical engineering fundamentals, VLSI principles, digital logic, and computer architecture.
  • Expert level analytical and problem‑solving skills.
  • Expert level knowledge of designing VLSI components, integrated circuitry, architectures, and algorithms into VLSI solutions.
  • Expert level knowledge of programming/scripting, hardware description languages, electronic design automation (EDA), and/or FPGA tools.
  • Coursework in VLSI design or VLSI concepts.
  • Executive written and verbal communication skills; mastery of English and local language.
  • Subject‑matter expertise or discipline leadership evidenced through patents or publications in the field of VLSI or electronic/hardware component designs and tools.
