Job summary

Yaamava Resort & Casino at San Manuel is seeking a Prep Cook to assist the Junior Chef in preparing dim sum, Chinese, Vietnamese, Korean and Japanese dishes, and wok dim sum items. You will help with weekly schedules, maintain quality, and ensure sanitary food handling in a fast-paced Asian kitchen.

Requires a Culinary Arts degree, high school diploma or GED, and at least three years’ prep cook experience. Strong knife skills, high-volume cooking experience, and the ability to follow recipes are

Qualifications

• Minimum three (3) years’ experience working as Prep Cook or similar role.
• Culinary Arts degree from accredited school required.
• Must obtain and maintain a Food Handler’s Card.
• Ability to read and follow recipes and production lists.

Responsibilities

• Gather required paperwork and prepare ingredients for service.
• Assist in daily prep and inventory to prevent shortages.
• Label, date and rotate all food items per FIFO.
• Ensure recipes stay consistent with flavor, timing and quality.
• Train kitchen staff and communicate updates to the team.
• Support special projects and events as needed.
