Job summary

Atlantis Casino Resort Spa in Reno, Nevada seeks a skilled Cook to join the renowned Far East–inspired restaurant team. You will prepare diverse dishes—dim sum, Peking Duck, pho, ramen, and more—while maintaining consistency, quality, and presentation in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires experience in a high-volume kitchen, adherence to food safety standards, and the ability to collaborate with staff to ensure timely service. Evening, weekend, and holiday shifts are expected.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Cook in a high-volume restaurant.
• Knowledge of various cooking techniques and methods.
• Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Culinary degree or relevant culinary certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare a wide variety of dishes, including appetizers, entrees, salads, and desserts, while adhering to recipes and presentation guidelines.
• Follow proper food handling and sanitation procedures to ensure safety and quality.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient production and timely service.
• Utilize grilling, frying, sautéing, baking, and roasting to create flavorful dishes.
• Adjust cooking methods based on ingredient freshness and guest preferences.
• Monitor inventory levels and communicate shortages to the sous chef or kitchen manager.
• Taste and evaluate dishes for flavor, seasoning, and quality before serving.
