Ashly Audio, a division of JAM Industries, seeks a full-time firmware engineer to design and maintain firmware for advanced network audio amplifiers and DSPs. You will contribute to remote-control devices and collaborate with a friendly, innovative team dedicated to audio technology.

This role emphasizes high reliability, embedded Linux work, and cross-functional cooperation with engineers and support staff, in a remote-friendly, team-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering or related field or equivalent experience.
• Proficiency with C/C++ and embedded software design.
• Experience with embedded Linux firmware development is highly desired.
• Knowledge of Node.js, SQLite, and ZeroMQ is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Develop bare metal or RTOS firmware for complex embedded systems requiring high reliability.
• Develop backend and middleware firmware for embedded Linux platforms.
• Assist with peripheral interface electronics design and related circuits.
• Maintain coding standards with clear naming, comments and diagrams.
• Define test plans and help create test automation for releases.
• Collaborate with engineers to meet system integration requirements.
• Assist technical support in investigating and fixing issues.

Position Summary

Ashly Audio is seeking a full-time to develop and maintain firmware for advanced network audio amplifiers, digital signal processors, and remote-control devices. Key Responsibilities

• Develop bare metal or RTOS firmware for complex embedded systems that require high reliability
• Develop backend and middleware firmware for embedded Linux platforms
• Assist with peripheral interface electronics design (and other circuits if desired)
• Maintain coding standards with intuitive function/object names, clear comments, and flow diagrams
• Define test plans and help develop test automation projects to effectively validate code releases
• Work with other engineers to understand system integration requirements
• Work with technical support staff to investigate and correct reported bugs or deficiencies

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must be proficient with C++ and/or C-
• Must be proficient with Java Script and/or Python- Strong experience with complex embedded system design focusing on high reliability
• Experience with embedded Linux firmware development is highly desired
• Experience with Node.JS, SQLite, and ZeroMQ are very beneficial
• Experience with one or more of the following:
• Graphical User Interface development
• Network-related programming (such as client/server applications, asynchronous processing).
• Designing and implementing communications APIs for SPI, I2C, or UART.
• Experience using Git/Bitbucket
• Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience designing firmware and hardware for complex embedded systems.
• Familiarity with audio networking, professional audio systems, and related technologies.
• Hands-on experience with hardware-level troubleshooting and embedded product development.
