Job summary

Novo Nordisk A/S in Clayton, NC is seeking a Shift Manager to lead, coach and mentor production teams in FP Assembly expansions. You will drive production plans, ensure quality objectives are met and partner with diverse sites globally.

The role requires supervisory experience in manufacturing, ASEPTIC processing exposure, and strong Lean/Six Sigma background. The position emphasizes safety, training, and continuous improvement across shifts.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years in a manufacturing setting, pharma preferred.
Associate’s degree with 5 years in manufacturing; pharma preferred.
High School diploma with 7 years in manufacturing; pharma preferred.
Minimum 3 years direct supervisory experience; NN leadership program may count.
2 years of Aseptic Processing experience preferred.
Ability to read, write and understand complex product documentation and SOPs.
Experience with Lean manufacturing tools or Six Sigma preferred.
Demonstrated experience using systematic problem solving and decision making.

Responsibilities

Create a safe, productive and engaging workplace.
Promote adherence to all quality objectives, specifications and requirements.
Coach and mentor work cell leaders, operations area specialists, quality improvement specialists, process team members & technical area specialists.
Provide direction, prioritization and motivation for all shift team members.
Responsible for management of people for all shift team members (issues, vacation planning).
Perform process confirmation to ensure compliance with standards.
Collaborate across shift teams to share, standardize and improve.
Other accountabilities as assigned.
