Job summary

Novo Nordisk USA currently seeks a dynamic leader to manage a technical team in a 24/7 manufacturing environment at the Clayton, NC site. You will oversee day-to-day activities, optimize processes, equipment, and systems for efficiency, availability, and quality, while aligning with site strategy.

You will lead, coach, and develop engineers and technicians, drive continuous improvement, ensure safety, and collaborate with senior management to achieve production targets and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in technical field from an accredited university required.
• Associate’s degree in technical field with 7 years of manufacturing/maintenance experience considered.
• High School Diploma with 9 years of manufacturing/maintenance experience considered.
• Minimum of five years of experience in Manufacturing/Maintenance/Process or equivalent industry experience required.
• Minimum of three years of direct supervisory experience required.
• Knowledgeable in pharmaceutical utilities and related systems; Lean/Six Sigma preferred.
• Proven mentoring/development, planning, and project-execution skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily activities of the assigned technical team and ensure standardized practices.
• Ensure equipment is designed, available, and capable to meet production requirements.
• Drive continuous improvement and implement process improvements.
• Schedule and execute plans in coordination with schedules.
• Coach and develop direct reports to maintain high performance.
• Provide feedback and accountability to improve team performance.
• Develop and implement KPIs for areas of responsibility.
• Collaborate with leadership on training, development, and performance management.
• Ensure safety and Novo Nordisk Way adherence.
