Terrestris Global Solutions in the National Capital Region is seeking an Alternate Instructor to support ASEP-T, a five-day executive transition program for retiring and separating U.S. Army General Officers and their spouses.

This is a Key Personnel position, with in-person courses in Arlington, VA and online sessions throughout the year. The Alternate Instructor partners with the Primary Instructor to deliver the curriculum, translate military experience into civilian executive terms, and

Qualifications

• Authorization to permanently work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Ability to pass background checks for Army installation access. No security clearance required.
• Master’s degree in business, management, counseling, or related field; or experience plus recognized credentials in HR/career services.
• Military veteran who transitioned within the last ten years at the rank of O-4+ or E-9.
• Three or more years leading talent management, recruiting, or counseling General Officers or senior military executives.
• Three or more years executive-level curriculum development and delivery for an executive audience.
• Three or more years working with Army Generals or senior civilian executives.
• Two or more years executive leadership experience in government or private sector.
• Two or more years translating military experience into civilian executive terms.
• Two or more years of public speaking experience.
• Ability to travel within CONUS to National Capital Region for in-person courses.

Responsibilities

• Co-instruct five ASEP-T courses per year (5 days each) for up to 18 General Officers in person or 22 online, plus their spouses.
• Serve as lead instructor when Primary Instructor is unavailable.
• Help develop and maintain a current modular curriculum adaptable to face-to-face and online delivery (Zoom, Teams) meeting VOW Act/TAP/Soldier for Life requirements.
• Guide participants in building transition plans, including pre-separation timelines, career goals, and resume translation.
• Instruct on resumes/CVs, cover letters, networking plans, LinkedIn, and salary negotiations.
• Facilitate experiential exercises, including AI-enabled exercises, resume building, mock interviews, and mock offer negotiations.
• Conduct individual counseling sessions with participants (and spouses) including resume critiques and networking plan reviews.
• Support delivery of the integrated spouse curriculum and spouse-specific break-out sessions.
• Support Day 2 networking events and annual Introductory Transition Module (ITM) sessions for up to 200 students.
• Provide follow-on coaching on resumes and job search up to 90 days after retirement.
• Assist with pre-course surveys, course evaluations, and post-course reports.
