Job summary

Terrestris, LLC seeks a Primary Instructor to lead ASEP-T, a five-day executive education program helping retiring U.S. Army General Officers transition to civilian roles. You will teach, coach, and facilitate pre-separation counseling, resumes, networking, and employment strategies.

As part of a team, you will deliver in-person sessions in the National Capital Region and online, refine curricula, and provide post-course follow-up support to graduates.

Qualifications

• Authorization to permanently work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Ability to pass background checks (NCIC-III and Terrorist Screening Database) for Army installation access. No security clearance is required.
• A PhD in Business Administration, Human Performance Measurement and Evaluation, Organizational Psychology, Human Resources, Counseling, Management, or a related field; or status as a retired U.S. Army General Officer with a master’s degree in one of those fields.
• Honorable U.S. Army service at the General/Flag Officer level completed within the last 15 years, including at least ten (10) years of active‑duty service at the rank of O-4 or above completed within the last 20 years.
• Three (3) or more years of experience as a senior executive in a publicly or privately held corporation, or as a senior executive inside government.
• Three (3) or more years of experience providing executive transition counseling, or serving as an executive career services officer or executive career counselor/coach.
• Three (3) or more years of experience working directly with U.S. Army General Officers and senior executives in a publicly or privately held corporation.
• Three (3) or more years of experience counseling U.S. Army General Officers and senior corporate executives on out-placement services.
• Experience within the last three (3) years developing professional transition plans, development plans, and executive course curricula or training plans for General Officers.
• Demonstrated delivery of Executive Transition curriculum in an online/virtual format within the last twelve (12) months.
• A current Professional in Human Resources (PHR/SPHR) certification or other related professional certification.
• Ability to travel within CONUS, including to the National Capital Region for in‑person courses.

Responsibilities

• Lead instructor for ASEP-T courses, five five-day courses per year, in person or online.
• Develop and maintain a modular curriculum adaptable to face-to-face and online delivery (Zoom/Teams) meeting requirements.
• Present a five-to-ten-year vision of the executive landscape for retired General Officers.
• Guide participants in building individual transition plans and timelines.
• Instruct on resumes/CVs, networking, personal branding, interviewing, salary negotiation, and employment options.
• Facilitate experiential exercises and mock interviews, including AI-enabled activities.
• Conduct individual counseling sessions with each participant and spouse as applicable.
• Design and deliver an integrated spouse curriculum and break-out sessions.
• Coordinate a Day 2 networking event with recently retired General Officers.
• Deliver ITM for up to 200 students at the SLDS and eight Four-Star Executive Sessions annually.
• Provide follow-on coaching for up to 90 days post-retirement.
• Develop pre-course surveys, assessments, course outlines; participate in reviews and reports.
• Coordinate guest speakers on topics like VA benefits, ethics, and financial planning.
