Job summary

Shakopee Public Schools is seeking a Long Term Substitute (LTS) Special Education Teacher, Center Based DCD/ASD, 1.0 FTE at Shakopee High School from approximately November 10, 2026 through December 22, 2026.

You will deliver direct and indirect services to students with learning and behavioral needs, monitor progress, develop and manage IEPs, facilitate team meetings, supervise paraprofessionals, and collaborate with families and staff to implement effective strategies.

Qualifications

• Current MN teaching license in ASD or ABS.
• Prior teaching experience preferred.
• Experience with multiple instructional designs and differentiated instruction.
• Ability to build successful relationships with students, parents and staff.

Responsibilities

• Deliver direct and indirect services to students.
• Monitor and document student progress.
• Develop and manage IEPs; facilitate team meetings.
