Job summary

Schneider Electric is seeking a Field Sales Engineer to drive the sale of ASCO products within an assigned territory, building relationships with current and new accounts and delivering service that meets customer expectations.

You will host trade shows, develop sales plans, coordinate quotes, and work with applications teams on technical issues. Manage projects from pre-design to close-out to expand market share and close orders.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years sales experience of similar products; local experience preferred.
  • Knowledgeable of the power industry & three-phase electricity.
  • Able to communicate technical information to a wide audience.
  • Excellent interpersonal, presentation & communication skills.
  • Valid driver's license & ability to drive to sites.
  • BS degree or comparable work experience; engineering degree preferred.

  • Provide detailed project updates on time for monthly sales meeting and work closely with Project Management.

Job description

The Field Sales Engineer will be responsible for the sale of all ASCO Products into an assigned territory to both existing and new accounts and providing a customer service level which meets or exceeds the customer's expectations.

Responsibilities
  • Establish, develop, and maintain business relationships with current customers and prospective customers to generate new business for ASCO’s products/services; conduct routine calls on all assigned accounts; improve ASCO specification position and minimize competitors listed.
    • Host/participate in trade shows and conventions
    • Close sales with assigned accounts
    • Develop sales plans/strategies
    • Work with applications groups on technical and design issues
    • Follow-up on projects quoted
    • Coordinate quotes and submittal drawings with internal resources
    • Coordinate proper inter-territory involvement
  • Track and influence projects from pre-design to close out phase, maximize sales of all ASCO products, communicate project status to sales team and develop sales strategies to close orders.
  • Increase market share for new products, effectively coordinate sales efforts with management, exhaust all options for urgent orders/quick ship opportunities, identify product advantages and competitive threats.
  • Prepare and deliver sales proposals and follow up with key decision makers.
  • Identify customer’s needs, adapt, and empathize with their concern.
Customer Relationship
  • Professional and proper email/written correspondences; acknowledge customer and other field requests; be engaging and enthusiastic when speaking with clients; develop and conduct routine product seminars; develop action plans for improving assigned accounts.
  • Manage business relationships and identify impactful concerns; ensure a quick turnaround of customer enquiries and the delivery of services.
  • Develop plans for introducing new products.
  • Coordinate proper inter-ASCO sales involvement (ASI/Load Bank); coordinate and manage projects internally and externally to ensure smooth completion; develop tactics to improve relationships/sales.
  • Properly maintain opportunities via company CRM.
  • Resolve customer issues timely and completely and assist in problem solving calls with inside sales team.
  • Provide detailed project updates on time for monthly sales meeting and work closely with Project Management team.
Qualifications
  • 3+ years sales experience of similar products; local experience preferred.
  • Knowledgeable of the power industry & three-phase electricity.
  • Utilizes strong product, competitor and customer knowledge to act as a consultant to targeted and established accounts.
  • Excellent interpersonal, presentation & communication skills.
  • A drive to respond immediately to both customers and other SE employees.
  • Proficient in all Microsoft applications.
  • Proven ability to communicate technical information to a wide audience.
  • Valid driver's license & ability to drive to construction sites and management offices required.
  • BS degree or comparable work experience required; engineering degree preferred.
Compensation

For this U.S. based position, the expected pay range is USD 74,400 - USD 111,600 per year. This pay range includes base pay and short-term incentives. The compensation range for this full-time position applies to candidates located within the United States.
