Job summary

UCHealth in Colorado is seeking a Vice President of Ambulatory Surgery Centers to provide strategic oversight for the ambulatory surgery center portfolio. You will drive financial performance, workforce planning, and patient-centered surgical services across multiple locations, with full P&L accountability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Minimum of seven years of progressive leadership experience in ambulatory surgery center operations, including ASC administrator experience.
• Demonstrated success leading multiple healthcare locations with full P&L and workforce accountability.
• Experience developing and managing operating and capital budgets and using data to improve performance.
• Working knowledge of laws, regulations, and accreditation standards affecting ASC operations (CMS, Joint Commission, AAAHC/AAAASF).
• Ability to lead effectively in a fast-paced, growing environment.
• Experience supporting joint venture relationships, ASC development, acquisitions, or due diligence.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic direction and oversight for the ASC portfolio with clear goals, standards, and measurable results.
• Partner with site administrators to standardize leading practices and improve operational consistency.
• Inspire and develop leaders for clinical, operational, financial, and patient experience outcomes.
• Own full P&L accountability and budget development for allocated centers, plus cost control and performance improvement.
• Build and sustain relationships with physician partners, medical staff, governing bodies, hospital leaders, and joint venture partners.
• Serve as primary operational contact for joint venture ASC relationships and governance alignment.
• Develop and execute market and portfolio strategies to expand services and improve efficiency.
• Advance business development priorities including new ASC development, acquisitions, and due diligence.
• Ensure compliance with federal/state requirements and accreditation standards for ASC operations.
• Oversee workforce planning and recruitment in partnership with site leaders.
• Monitor performance indicators and address risks with stakeholders to sustain growth.
