Job summary

EMSL Analytical, Inc. is seeking a Laboratory Technician (Asbestos) in Cinnaminson, NJ. You will support lab analysts by preparing samples for analysis, with on-the-job training provided for all new employees.

The role requires a High School diploma or GED, color-detection ability, and the physical capacity to lift up to 25 lbs. Training schedules and a full-time Monday–Friday shift are offered.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED equivalent.
• Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship.
• Some laboratory experience is a plus.
• Ability to distinguish colors for analysis.
• Physical ability to lift up to 25 lbs and stand for long periods.
• Ability to work independently and in a team, with self-motivation and adaptability.
• Strong time management and prioritization skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare environmental samples prior to analysis (air, bulk, dust, water, soil).
• Utilize balances, HEPA fume hoods, filtration systems and muffle furnaces to prep samples.
• Support all sample-related activities including preservation, preparation and disposal.
• Clean, maintain and troubleshoot laboratory equipment as needed.
• Perform other duties as deemed necessary by the manager.
