Job summary

EMSL Analytical, Inc. is seeking a Laboratory Analyst (Asbestos) in Cinnaminson, NJ. No laboratory experience is required; on-the-job training will be provided.

The role focuses on preparing and analyzing materials for asbestos content using PLM, PCM, and TEM, with data entry into LIMS and quality control tasks. The ideal candidate has 0–1 years of asbestos PLM/TEM/PCM experience, strong color discernment, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Geology or related science is a plus.
• 0 to 1 years' experience performing asbestos PLM/TEM/PCM analysis.
• Ability to distinguish colors to perform analysis.

Responsibilities

• Preparation and analysis of bulk and solid materials for asbestos content using PLM, PCM, and/or TEM.
• Determination of visual percentage and optical properties of asbestos and non-asbestos material.
• Maintain, troubleshoot, and clean laboratory equipment as needed.
• Generate analytical reports and enter data into LIMS system.
• Perform quality control as per QA/QC manual.
• Administrative duties including sample login, data entry, and reporting.
