Job summary

Eurofins Environment Testing (USA) in Fort Lauderdale seeks an Analyst to perform analysis of bulk samples for asbestos using polarized light microscopy, with mold and fungi analysis as a plus. You will validate and review data, upload results into the LIMS, and schedule workload to meet due dates.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in a related science and 1–2 years of lab experience, with a Monday–Friday first shift, full-time, on-site in Fort Lauderdale.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Microbiology, Biology, Geology or closely related science.
• 1-2 years of laboratory work experience involving mold and/or asbestos microscopy analysis.
• 8 units of Microbiology courses preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and analyze aerobiological, environmental, and water samples for fungal, asbestos and bacteria analysis.
• Accurately enters and reports analytical data using the LIMS
• Performs independent data reviews for other analysts’ work
• Performs analysis of reference materials, proficiency samples and other quality control samples as needed
• Performs confirmation of lab results as needed by client services personnel
• Performs and completes all analytical testing QA related tasks as needed
• Assists in pursuing, receiving, and maintaining necessary laboratory accreditations
• Maintains and updates all necessary Training and QA documents onsite as necessary
• Co-ordinates and manages projects according to their rush status and due time for timely delivery
• Follows company policies and procedures and ensures that coworkers are doing the same
