Job summary

Eurofins is seeking an Experienced Laboratory Analyst in Fort Lauderdale, FL to perform analysis of bulk samples for asbestos using polarized light microscopy and to support environmental testing including fungi and bacteria. The role includes data validation, uploading results to LIMS, and workload scheduling to meet due dates.

Responsibilities encompass preparing and analyzing aerobiological samples, data entry in LIMS, QA checks, and participating in accreditation activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology, Biology, Geology or a closely related science.
• 1–2 years of laboratory work experience involving mold and/or asbestos microscopy analysis.
• 8 units of Microbiology courses preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and analyze aerobiological, environmental, and water samples for fungal, asbestos and bacteria analysis.
• Accurately enters and reports analytical data using the LIMS
• Performs independent data reviews for other analysts’ work
• Performs analysis of reference materials, proficiency samples and other quality control samples as needed
• Performs confirmation of lab results as needed by client services personnel
• Performs and completes all analytical testing QA related tasks as needed
• Assists in pursuing, receiving, and maintaining necessary laboratory accreditations
• Maintains and updates all necessary Training and QA documents onsite as necessary
• Co-ordinates and manages projects according to their rush status and due time for timely delivery
• Follows company policies and procedures and ensures that coworkers are doing the same
