Job summary

The Entertainment Community Fund is seeking an Activities Coordinator for The Schermerhorn in Brooklyn to design and lead a robust weekly activities program for residents, focusing on socialization, self‑care, and mental health wellness.

Reporting to the Manager of Arts Center and Resident Services, you will coordinate staff/volunteers, manage calendars, and collaborate with social workers and partner agencies to address resident needs and interests.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 1–3 years demonstrated experience in activities and/or education programs.
• Experience working with special needs populations.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Must be able to stand for several hours and lift up to 30lbs.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement engaging activities that support residents’ well‑being and social integration.
• Maintain and distribute a regular activities schedule and monthly calendar.
• Coordinate program facilitators, supplies, meals, and transportation for events.
• Collaborate with social work staff and partner agencies to address resident needs.
