Job summary

The Bristal Assisted Living in Armonk seeks a creative Lifestyle Coordinator to help plan and coordinate recreational programs for residents, including Memory Care, ensuring engaging, meaningful activities that enhance quality of life.

You will assist with calendars, events, outings, and in absence of the Recreation Director, take the lead in delivering safe, enjoyable experiences tailored to each resident's interests and abilities.

Qualifications

• One year’s prior experience working with a senior population, and those with Alzheimer’s disease and dementia a plus.
• At least 6 months of Recreation activity experience or event leadership experience, preferably in assisted living or long-term care.
• Be outgoing, warm and have a genuine caring personality.
• Able to create programs that get residents involved and excited.
• Be dependable and able to supervise activities, events and safe excursions.

Responsibilities

• Assist in presenting and coordinating recreational programs for residents, including Memory Care.
• Plan and coordinate trips to art galleries, theaters, and cultural venues.
• Prepare, print and distribute the monthly calendar, newsletters and memos.
• Lead activities in the absence of the Director of Recreation and foster resident engagement.
• Maintain knowledge of resident backgrounds and languages to tailor activities.
