Job summary

305 West End Assisted Living in New York, NY is seeking a compassionate Lifestyle Coordinator to create and coordinate recreational programs for residents, including memory care neighbors.

You will plan engaging trips to galleries, theaters, and cultural venues; prepare monthly calendars and newsletters; and lead activities when the Director of Recreation is away.

The ideal candidate has experience with seniors, strong communication, and the ability to supervise events and outings.

Qualifications

• One year of experience with a senior population.
• At least 6 months of recreation activity or event leadership experience.
• Outgoing, warm and caring personality.
• Ability to create engaging resident programs.
• Ability to supervise activities and safe outings.
• Creative talents in art, music, readings or dance.
• Well-groomed and properly attired.
• Strong listening and communication skills with a positive attitude.
• Experience leading classes and public speaking.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Assist in presenting and coordinating recreational programs for residents and memory care neighbors.
• Plan and coordinate trips to galleries, theaters, venues and cultural events.
• Prepare, print and distribute monthly calendars and newsletters.
• Lead activities in absence of the Director of Recreation.
• Know residents' backgrounds to encourage engagement and participation.
