Job summary

Active Cultures (AC) is a public arts nonprofit in Los Angeles. The Programs Manager leads production and logistics across the artistic program and member/special events, coordinating with leadership and artists to move from planning to execution.

Responsibilities include run-of-show, vendor coordination, inventory management, and volunteer oversight. The role requires in-person presence in LA with some flexible scheduling for events, plus collaboration with the Curator and Executive Director.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in arts or community event or program production.
• Strong organizational and project management skills.
• Proficiency or familiarity with Asana or similar project management software.
• Ability to regularly lift and move 40 lbs of program materials and equipment.
• Valid California driver’s license and access to reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Lead program production and logistics, coordinating artists, partners and volunteers for events.
• Manage event set-up and break-down to ensure smooth execution.
• Oversee inventory, supplies, purchasing, and storage; transport materials between storage and sites.
• Coordinate vendors across food & beverage in consultation with AC team.
• Lead production and logistics of member and special events, collaborating with Culinary Events Producer.
