Job summary

Edmundite Missions in Selma, AL seeks a Program Assistant for the Arts to develop and supervise diverse arts programming for all ages. You will manage registrations, coordinate logistics for on-site and off-site activities, and maintain strong internal communications within the Bullock Center.

The role emphasizes collaboration with youth programs and Mosses community initiatives, ensuring accessible, high-quality arts experiences while supporting the center’s operations and outreach.

Qualifications

• At least two years of experience in bringing the arts to community or education organizations.
• Experience leading performing or graphic arts programming.
• Valid driver’s license and own transportation.
• Scheduling flexibility; weekend shifts.

Responsibilities

• Develops and oversees a wide array of arts programming for all ages in the community.
• Assesses community interests and adjusts arts programs accordingly.
• Builds partnerships with local arts organizations in Selma to utilize Bullock Center facilities.
• Oversees non-registration drop-in arts programs and logistics for off-site opportunities.
• Coordinates with related centers to share resources and support youth arts initiatives.
• Supports youth programs to ensure arts programming is robust year-round.
• Generates ideas to integrate arts with nutrition and social-emotional development in Missions programs.
• Engages outside experts for arts programming as needed and supervises volunteers.
