Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Atlanta is seeking an Arts Instructor in College Park, GA to plan, organize, promote, implement, and evaluate a diversified arts program for youth.

The role involves preparing youth for success, delivering engaging activities, supervising members and volunteers, managing supplies and facilities, and collaborating with visiting artists and club staff to create safe, enriching experiences after school.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Three years' combined youth development experience or formal arts training.
  • Knowledge of youth development.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to motivate youth and manage behavior problems.
  • Ability to plan and implement quality youth programs.
  • Ability to organize and supervise members in a safe environment.
  • Resourceful in using donated and free supplies.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare Youth for Success: fosters youth development outcomes and promotes arts participation.
  • Program: develop weekly/monthly plans; monitor safety and quality; recognize participation; track attendance.
  • Supervision: maintain order; supervise volunteers; participate in staff meetings; collaborate with visiting artists.
  • Supplies: monitor needs; keep storage neat.
  • Facility: keep area attractive and up-to-date; suggest repairs.
  • Additional Responsibilities: support team and may drive the club van; pursue training.
