Job summary

Boys & Girls Clubs of the Valley is seeking a Youth Development Specialist- Arts Instructor to support programming for Club members in a safe, supervised environment. Under the Program Director, you will deliver quality arts-focused activities and guided curriculum, promoting mission-aligned outcomes and a positive Club experience.

The role emphasizes program development, area safety, volunteer guidance, and potential transportation of members if 21 or older.

Qualifications

Must be at least 18 years old.
High school graduate or GED equivalent.
Passion for working with youth.
Ability to multitask and adapt to changing needs.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent interpersonal and cooperative working skills.
Must be proficient in Microsoft Suite and be comfortable adapting to new technology.
If 21 or older, maintains a valid driver’s license and meets eligibility requirements to drive Club vehicles.
Safety oriented mindset.

Responsibilities

Develops, organizes, and facilitates programs and activities utilizing a formal curriculum.
Directly runs programming and high-yield activities in assigned area.
Facilitate enrichment programming that cultivates a passion for continuous learning and academic excellence including science, technology, engineering, arts, math and other academic domains.
Plan and coordinate events to showcase youth’s academic achievements and projects to foster a sense of accomplishment.
Administers outcome measurement tools.
Delivers programs with an enthusiastic, high-energy, positive attitude.
