Job summary

Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Atlanta is seeking a Program Instructor to plan, organize, promote, and implement a diversified program across multiple core areas. The role involves preparing youth for success and delivering engaging activities in a safe, encouraging environment.

You will develop weekly plans, monitor safety and participation, supervise volunteers, manage supplies, and contribute to a collaborative team.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • At least three years of experience working with youth.
  • Experience teaching youth and creating engaging learning experiences.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to motivate youth and manage behavior problems.
  • Able to interact with the general public and plan quality learning programs.
  • Ability to supervise members and manage supplies and facilities.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare youth for success by fostering youth development outcomes.
  • Implement, monitor, and evaluate programs and activities for members.
  • Develop weekly and monthly program plans.
  • Monitor safety and quality of programs.
  • Recognize member participation and maintain attendance records.
  • Supervise volunteers and program assistants; participate in staff meetings.
  • Manage supplies and monitor budget; keep the supply room organized.
  • Ensure facilities are clean and updated; recommend repairs.
  • Participate in team activities and training opportunities; may drive club van.
