Job summary

The Oklahoma Arts Council is seeking an organized, detail-oriented Arts Education Coordinator to support education and community arts learning programs, including initiatives like Creative Aging. The role reports to the Arts Learning in Communities Director and is paid hourly at $27.00 with expected 15–20 hours per week.

This temporary, part-time position may extend with additional funding. Travel within-state may be required, with opportunities to assist in grants administration and program

Qualifications

• Represent the agency in a professional, respectful, service-minded manner.
• Provide responsive and excellent service to program participants, applicants, grantees, partners, teaching artists, and the public.
• Communicate clearly in writing, by phone, online, and in person.
• Collaborate with Arts Education and Grants Office staff to deliver quality programs.

Responsibilities

• Provide programmatic and general administrative support to Arts Education staff.
• Respond to inquiries and provide information on OAC arts education programs.
• Provide logistical support for arts education programs, including room booking, catering, scheduling, communications, and materials preparation.
• Book travel and manage travel claims and purchase requests.
• Gather photos, quotes, and documentation for program data and storytelling.
• Travel occasionally for site visits, meetings, and events, including in-state travel.
• Support other departments and agency goals, including program and grants management.
