Job summary

State of Connecticut Department of Economic and Community Development, Office of the Arts, is seeking a Program Associate II to develop and coordinate arts education programs and grants. The role includes partnership building, grant evaluation, and policy coordination to advance COA’s strategic goals.

The position requires strong written and oral communication, collaboration with schools and cultural partners, and the ability to manage complex projects and reporting within a state agency.

Qualifications

  • Three years of professional level experience in general arts administration or managing arts programs.
  • Substitution options: a Bachelor's degree for one year of experience; a Master's degree for one additional year.
  • Ability to manage budgets and comply with governing regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, coordinate and evaluate arts programs across COA.
  • Prepare and manage grant contracts, guidelines, and reports.
  • Collaborate with partners to expand statewide arts education initiatives.
  • Monitor program performance and prepare required interim/final reports.
  • Support staff and participate in outreach and public engagement.
