Job summary

The Artist Assistant position at the University of Colorado Denver Office of Undergraduate Research and Creative Activities supports Professor Lucinda Bliss with preparations for a January 2027 exhibit at Utah State University’s Nora Eccles Harrison Museum of Art in Logan, UT.

The assistant will work with the artist to prepare for the exhibition, providing support with research, fabrication, and documentation.

Qualifications

• Basic computer and filing skills.
• Basic sewing and beading abilities (and/or good hand/eye coordination).
• Ability to lift 20 pounds.
• Strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

• The Artist Assistant will help with fabrication: cutting and sewing fabric, beading, and working with the artist to construct the work.
• Gather research on the history, current state, and narratives of water in the American West.
• Organize digital image files and materials for the exhibition's supporting documents.
