Job summary

Nevada State University seeks a Student Worker to act as Arts Ambassador and NS Collections & Galleries Assistant. The role supports the Office for the Arts and reports to the Senior Advisor & Executive Director for the Arts, handling admin tasks, event coordination, and gallery programming with a focus on mentorship in arts administration.

Responsibilities include data collection, grant/fundraising support, tours of collections, social media content, and archival photography.

Qualifications

Must maintain a GPA of 2.0 or higher.
Must be enrolled as a degree-seeking student with at least 6 credits for the current or upcoming semester.
Eligibility to work in the United States without sponsorship.
Customer service experience or ability to work with the public.
Organized self-starter able to manage multiple projects independently.
Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
Flexible schedule for day, evening and occasional weekend work.
Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Canvas/WebCampus.

Responsibilities

Serve as an Arts Ambassador for the Office for the Arts at NS program activities and events.
Assist with event check-in, docent duties, and setup/takedown.
Promote arts programming to students and community.
Maintain confidential program files and notes.
Provide in-class presentations about the Office for the Arts.
Assist with programming, workshops, and gallery exhibitions.
