Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Culinary coursework or formal kitchen training is a plus.
• Food Handler Certification required or must be obtained upon hire.
• 1–2 years in a professional kitchen, with cold food preparation experience.
• Skill in preparing salads, dressings, cold appetizers, desserts, and garnishes to standards.
• Ability to follow recipes, portion guidelines, and plating specifications accurately.

Responsibilities

• Prepares all baked goods and desserts to recipe specifications.
• Portions, assembles, and presents food with attention to plating.
• Maintains pastry station cleanliness and organization.
• Adheres to health regulations and sanitation procedures.
• Supports pastry production during high-volume periods and events.
• Monitors quality and freshness for consistency in taste and appearance.
• Assists with inventory tracking and restocking of pastry ingredients.
• Communicates with Pastry Chef and kitchen team for seamless operations.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
