Job summary

Desert Diamond Casino West Valley is seeking a Pastry Cook to assist the Pastry Sous Chef in preparing and cooking pastry items, maintaining stock, and keeping a clean, organized kitchen. You will work in a fast-paced casino environment, following TOGE internal controls and health regulations, and collaborate with Pastry Chefs to ensure quality desserts for all venues.

The role requires knowledge of pastry and baking techniques, a high school diploma or GED, and at least two years of pastry

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; two years pastry/baker experience or equivalent
• Must be 18+; pass pre-employment drug screen and background
• Must obtain gaming license and comply with TOGE requirements

Responsibilities

• Cooks and prepares a variety of foods per menu and demand
• Learn proper knife skills, baking techniques, terminology
• Follow standardized recipes for all foods and outlets
• Communicate clearly with Pastry Chefs and team
• Maintain safe par levels and stock levels
• Keep work areas clean, organized, and sanitized per regulations
• Ensure all kitchen areas and storage are labeled and dated
• Adhere to all health/food safety regulations and codes
• Assist in maintaining all venues’ kitchen operations and duties
