Job summary

Whole Foods Market in Edgewater, NJ seeks an experienced Meat Cutter to cut, prepare, and merchandise beef, pork, lamb, veal, and poultry. You will uphold quality standards, maintain displays, and mentor trainees while delivering friendly, efficient service to customers and Team Members.

Flexibility to work evenings and weekends is required; experience with specialty meats and high-volume environments is a plus. This role supports company health and safety standards and store programs.

Qualifications

• 14+ months retail experience.
• Completed WFM Butcher Apprentice Program or equivalent training.

Responsibilities

• Cuts, platters, and merchandises products (beef, pork, lamb, veal, poultry).
• Prepares specialty meat merchandise (sausages, oven-ready, cured meats).
• Checks product against WFM quality standards.
• Maintains sampling program and prevents spoilage.
• Mentors Meat Cutter Trainee(s).
• Delivers courteous, friendly service and assists customers promptly.
