H-E-B Meat Cutter role focused on preparing, packing, and merchandising fresh meat while ensuring food safety and sanitation. You will assist customers, answer questions, and maintain an organized, well-stocked department daily.

Ideal candidates have at least 1 year of related experience, strong sanitation knowledge, and proficiency with meat-cutting tools. The job emphasizes quality service and compliance with department SOPs and regulations.

Qualifications

• 18+ years old or older
• 1+ years of related experience and / or training
• Completion of power jack training
• Completion of Meat Cutter learning plan and certification by trainer of the Meat Cutter Final Assessment course #001289
• Must have completed the meat cutter training and certification within 3 months external

Responsabilités

• Cuts, trims, bones meat for display or as ordered by Customer, according to company standards
• Operates electric grinder, saw, knife sharpener, tenderizer, slicer
• Weighs / wraps / labels product packages for counter display; rotates product as needed
• Rotates product in meat cooler; ensures proper storage practices
• Uses MCS technology to generate production list and track "re-works"
• Assists customers with product questions
• Scans in items on Telxon for production
• Assists in technical areas as needed
• Cleans and sanitizes display cases; properly operates / maintains equipment
• Complies with H-E-B food safety and sanitation standards
• Provides superior customer service
• Answers customer questions regarding products and assists them with selections
