Job summary

SpartanNash is seeking a Bakery Associate to join our Hudsonville store team. You will bake, fry, decorate, package, display and stock bakery products, following production schedules to support store profitability.

The role requires basic math, reading and writing, and at least a high school diploma. Prior retail experience is preferred; you’ll work in a fast-paced environment with PPE, safety and guest-experience guidelines. Local travel not required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred.
• Ability to read, write and interpret documents.
• Basic mathematical skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Baking and frying duties determined by production schedule (80%).
• Price, date, wrap and/or bag bakery products.
• Merchandise shelves, cases and displays; rotate stock.
• Notify Bakery Manager when products and supplies need ordering.
• Assist in receiving, unloading and stocking merchandise.
• Follow PPE, safety, and guest experience guidelines.
