Whole Foods Market in Los Angeles is seeking a skilled Bakery Decorator to create and decorate cakes, tarts, pastries, and special-order items. You will apply artistic techniques while ensuring quality and safety standards, while supporting store programs and customer service excellence.

The role requires decorating expertise, ability to manage time and collaborate with Apprentices and team members, and a flexible schedule to meet demand.

Competenze

• At least 6–12 months of retail or restaurant bakery experience.
• Completion of Bakery Decorator Apprentice training or equivalent.
• Experience in professional bakery or grocery retail preferred.

Mansioni

• Assemble, fill, and finish/decorate cakes, tarts, and special-order items.
• Build, ice, and decorate cakes following standard procedures.
• Prioritize production lists and adjust as needed.
• Merchandise products in the display case and ensure freshness.
• Provide guidance to Bakery Decorator Apprentices and team members.
• Create special order cake designs based on customer preferences.
• Provide excellent customer service and handle phones promptly.
• Maintain clean, sanitary workspace and safety standards.
• Perform opening, mid, and closing duties with accurate signage.
