Job summary

ShopRite in Delran, NJ is seeking a Cake Decorator to assist the Bakery Manager with baking, dough mixing, icing and decorating of pastries and bread items. You will keep the department neat, clean, and visually appealing while following safety and QA standards and maintaining accurate signage.

The role requires standing for long periods, lifting up to 50 lbs, working in varied temperatures, and friendly interactions with customers. Training supports growth within our Bakery team.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, speak English clearly and accurately.
• Ability to assist Bakery Manager and follow directions.
• Stands, bends, twists, lifts up to 50 lbs and works in varying temperatures.
• Works with fresh, dried and processed products and allergens must be handled with care.
• Ability to interact with customers in a friendly, helpful manner.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean, neat, organized Bakery area and follow QA standards.
• Prepare trays and merchandise, stock and rotate items for freshness.
• Follow recipes and ensure proper weights, measures, and labeling.
• Assist in daily Bakery operations and handle customer requests.
• Adhere to safety, sanitation and company policies at all times.
