Job summary

Giant Eagle in New Albany, OH seeks a Bakery Team Member to help prepare and bake fresh bakery items and deliver outstanding guest service. You will work with scratch recipes, rotate products for freshness, and assist guests in finding and selecting items.

The role emphasizes safety, sanitation, and teamwork to ensure the highest quality products for our guests. As part of the Bakery team, you will handle scanning, stocking, and responding to customer questions while maintaining product quality

Qualifications

• Experience: 6 to 12 months or completion of Giant Eagle Apprenticeship program.
• Experience desired: Bakery or related industry.
• Education: No High School diploma required.

Responsibilities

• Perform bench work according to scratch procedures.
• Bake prepared product following recipes and proper time/temperature.
• Prepare and assemble bakery products for display.
• Maintain sanitation and cleanliness of equipment and work areas.
• Assist guests with questions and provide exemplary customer service.
• Record special orders accurately and ensure freshness.
