Job summary

Giant Eagle in Columbus, OH is seeking a Bakery Team Member to bake and prepare products, ensuring freshness and high-quality guest service. You will work with the bakery team to provide a great in-store experience and meet guest needs.

The role requires lifting up to 50 pounds, 18+ years of age, and 6–12 months bakery experience or completion of the Giant Eagle Apprenticeship program. Training includes scratch recipes and standard bakery procedures.

Qualifications

• 6 to 12 months experience in Bakery or related industry or completion of Giant Eagle Apprenticeship program
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Minimum age 18 years old

Responsibilities

• Perform bench work and scratch preparation according to recipes
• Bake products to specified time and temperature
• Prepare bakery products according to established recipes
• Operate proofing equipment and maintain product sizing
• Fry donuts per established procedures
• Maintain cleanliness and safety in bakery area
• Provide excellent customer service and assist guests
• Rotate products and ensure fresh stock for sale
• Record special orders accurately
• Follow sanitation and safety regulations
