Job summary

Whole Foods Market is seeking a detail-oriented Bakery Decorator in San Francisco to create, decorate, and finish cakes, tarts, and custom items while upholding quality and safety standards.

You will support apprentices and team members, manage production tasks, and deliver friendly service to customers in a fast-paced environment. Must be able to lift 50 pounds and work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6-12 months retail or restaurant experience.
• Complete the Bakery Decorator Apprentice training program, or equivalent.
• Prior experience in a professional bakery or grocery retail preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, fill, and finish/decorate cakes, tarts, and special-order items.
• Build, ice, and decorate cakes following standard procedures.
• Provide guidance to Apprentices and Team Members.
• Deliver excellent customer service and maintain a clean, sanitary workspace.
• Perform opening, mid, and closing duties and ensure accurate signage and pricing.
