Job summary

Festival Foods in Kenosha, WI is seeking a dedicated Baker to join our bakery team. You will follow approved recipes, produce a range of bakery items, and help create memorable experiences for guests at events and daily purchases.

This role reports to the Bakery Department Manager and requires reliability and teamwork. You’ll work early mornings and weekends, uphold safety standards, assist guests, and maintain quality.

Qualifications

• Guest-focused service skills and ability to interact politely with guests.
• Strong problem-solving abilities in a fast-paced environment.
• Safety awareness and adherence to kitchen equipment guidelines.
• Knowledge of retail food operations and perishable department basics.

Responsibilities

• Recipe & Production Control: follow recipes and production lists precisely to ensure high-quality bakery items; monitor freshness and report shrinkage.
• Health & Safety: follow Health Department guidelines and Festival sanitation practices; maintain cleanliness in prep areas, coolers, freezers, and dry storage.
• Guest Service: assist guests with finding items, take special orders, address concerns; answer calls with proper etiquette; ensure guest satisfaction.
• Stock Monitoring: maintain stock levels and service floor readiness, especially for early mornings and evenings.
• Quality Standards: maintain food safety logs and meet quantity standards by 10 am and 5 pm daily.
• Team Collaboration: work with Bakery associates to meet department goals and foster a positive environment.
• Honor Commitments: regular attendance and notice for replacements; perform other duties as assigned.
