Job summary

Festival Foods in Kenosha, WI is seeking a friendly and experienced Baker to join our bakery team. The Baker will follow recipes, assist guests, and help craft high-quality pastries for events and everyday purchases.

You’ll work early mornings and weekends, maintain safety and cleanliness, and collaborate with Bakery associates to meet department goals. Festival Foods offers competitive pay, benefits, and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Customer focus: Ability to deal tactfully and effectively with guests and all personnel.
• Effective Problem-Solving: Ability to quickly assess and resolve issues in a dynamic and stressful work environment, while supporting team members.
• Safety Awareness: Understanding of safety requirements and company safety policies, including proper training on ovens, lifting techniques, and equipment.
• Retail Expertise: Knowledge of the retail food business and perishable department operations, with the ability to make timely decisions.

Responsibilities

• Recipe & Production Control: Follow recipes and production lists precisely to ensure high-quality bakery items; monitor dates and freshness.
• Health & Safety: Adhere to Health Department guidelines and sanitation practices; maintain cleanliness in prep areas and storage.
• Guest Service: Provide excellent customer service, assist guests with items, take orders, and address concerns.
• Stock Monitoring: Monitor stock levels and service floor needs, especially for early mornings and evenings.
• Quality Standards: Maintain food safety logs and meet quantity expectations by 10 am and 5 pm daily.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with Bakery associates to meet department goals.
• Honor Commitments: Maintain regular attendance and give notice for absences.
• Support the Team: Other duties as assigned.
