Job summary

Nino Salvaggio International Marketplace in Bloomfield Hills is seeking a dedicated Baker to prepare and bake a range of pastries and breads for our bakery department. You will handle dough, monitor oven operations and ensure product quality from start to finish.

The role requires early mornings and weekends, reliable transportation, and a positive team attitude. Prior bakery experience is preferred; candidate must be 18 or older and able to stand for long periods.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Must be 18 or older.
• Must be able to stand and walk for 8+ hour periods.
• Previous baker experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Roll, knead, cut or shape prepared dough to form pie crusts, tarts, cookies or other products.
• Bake dough, pastries or cake mixes in production ovens or on grills.
• Observe products as they bake and adjust oven settings.
• Check product quality against standards and specs.
• Maintain equipment safety and sanitation; perform cleaning as needed.
• Order or receive supplies or equipment.
• Maintain inventory or production records.
• Operate slicing or wrapping machines and apply glazes or toppings.
