Job summary

DC Army National Guard is seeking a Cannon Crewmember to join a team delivering artillery support and battlefield readiness. You will learn and perform high-tech operating tasks with howitzers, while developing tactical skills and teamwork in real-world mission simulations.

As experience grows, responsibilities expand to supervising crewmembers, managing ammunition, training, and equipment maintenance within a disciplined military environment. Training is structured and pays during service.

Qualifications

• Physically and mentally fit to perform under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Conducting wire and radio communications
• Identifying target locations
• Setting, loading, and firing artillery
• Using computers to generate fire direction data
• Operating heavy and light wheeled trucks and tracked vehicles
• Transporting and managing artillery ammunition
• Maintaining operational readiness of vehicles and equipment
• Participate in reconnaissance operations
