Job summary

The Walters Art Museum seeks a Monitor Room Officer to provide a safe, welcoming environment for visitors and staff in Baltimore. You will monitor activities, inspect alarms and CCTV, and respond to incidents while maintaining detailed logs and coordinating with security leadership.

The role is full-time, 40 hours per week, overnight on a Wednesday–Sunday schedule, with a shift differential. Onsite position with competitive benefits and strong teamwork expectations.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• First Aid/CPR certifications preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly with visitors and staff.

Responsibilities

• Monitor museum activities to ensure safety and compliance with policies.
• Conduct regular rounds and inspect fire, safety, and security systems.
• Prepare accurate incident reports and daily shift logs.
