Job summary

Gagosian Beverly Hills is seeking a highly organized Assistant to Director to join its Sales team. This role provides administrative, operational, and sales support to a Sales Director, coordinating across sales and artist liaison to ensure seamless exhibitions and client engagement.

The ideal candidate is proactive, discreet, and thrives in a fast-paced, client-facing environment with a strong interest in contemporary art and gallery operations.

Qualifications

• BA/MA in Art History or related field required.
• 2+ years supporting a Sales Director or similar role at a contemporary art gallery or auction house strongly preferred.
• A working knowledge of modern and contemporary art and an interest in sales.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Flexible schedule, with availability to work additional hours as needed.

Responsibilities

• Providing administrative, logistical, and heavy calendar management support, including scheduling complex international travel and expense reports.
• Providing general assistance to the Director’s schedule and liaising with gallery colleagues.
• Providing sales support to the Director, including formulating, sending, and responding to sales offers.
• Managing day-to-day client relationships and coordinating post-sales tasks such as invoicing and shipments.
• Coordinating client viewings and assisting in exhibitions coordination.
