The role emphasizes art knowledge, discretion, teamwork, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting. Schedule varies with exhibitions and events, with strong opportunities for growth in a premier art gallery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Art History or related field is required.
• Experience as Gallery Assistant or Sales Assistant in an art gallery is preferred.
• Experience welcoming guests with warmth and professionalism.
• Strong commitment to artists and the gallery program.
• Excellent collaboration and teamwork abilities.
• Attention to detail for a polished, organized office space.

Responsibilities

• Greet clients and visitors professionally and answer questions about art, artists, and the gallery.
• Serve as first contact for clients, ensuring a pleasant, memorable visit.
• Maintain front desk appearance and keep exhibition materials stocked and orderly.
• Prepare materials for client viewings and mailings and update price lists.
• Coordinate calendars, travel documents, and hospitality logistics for the Principal’s team.
