Job summary

Sotheby’s Financial Services (SFS) seeks an Associate within the Client Success team in the U.S. to support loan underwriting, collateral management, and portfolio servicing.

You will develop expertise in underwriting processes, collaborate with clients through the financing lifecycle, and work with cross-functional teams to ensure sound credit execution. You will analyze credit, prepare memos, manage collateral, and drive efficient deal execution in a fast-paced environment, while maintaining

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree is required.
• 5+ years of professional experience, preferably in a client-facing role within financial services or auction house.
• Experience in the art market, automotive industry, or related institution is preferred.
• Strong time management, prioritization and analytical skills.
• Ability to communicate findings effectively to senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite loans by assessing borrower, collateral, and risk; prepare credit memos and support materials.
• Oversee collateral management, servicing, and compliance with underwriting policies.
• Coordinate with client and internal teams to ensure sound credit execution and portfolio management.
• Monitor portfolio performance and drive timely renewals and improvements.
• Present underwriting recommendations and portfolio updates to leadership and clients.
