Job summary

The Art and Design Department's Visual Resource Center at California State University, San Bernardino is seeking a Student Assistant to support front-desk tasks, records, and clerical functions on campus. Under direct supervision, you will assist with documentation and deliveries, helping keep the VRC organized and efficient.

This on‑campus, part‑time position requires CSU student enrollment, a 2.0 GPA minimum, and the ability to work during standard hours.

Qualifications

• Maintain a 2.0 G.P.A. or greater per semester and cumulative.
• Students must be enrolled in at least halftime units at CSUSB.
• International students must have full-time enrollment at CSUSB.
• Eligible to work in the United States.
• Payroll Requirement: Social Security Card.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a point of contact for the Department of Art & Design Visual Resource Center (VRC).
• Communicate with guests via verbal, written and electronic correspondence (i.e. answering phones, sending emails, greeting clients).
• Organize and track records of all documentation submitted to and processed by the Department of Art & Design.
• Logging all incoming and outgoing paperwork.
• Maintain files (creating, updating and organizing).
• Assist with clerical functions for the Art & Design VRC (i.e. file paperwork, maintain an organized working environment, make deliveries around campus).
• Making deliveries to university departments and programs.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
