Job summary

Children of Promise, NYC is seeking an Art Activity Specialist to lead visual arts sessions for youth in Brooklyn and the South Bronx. This part-time, on-site role runs Monday through Friday, 10–15 hours weekly, crafting engaging lessons aligned with NYS Arts Learning Standards.

You will manage materials, enforce safety, encourage creativity, and support students during after-school hours. Compensation ranges from $25 to $30 per hour, and CP NYC is an equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• Must have experience successfully teaching and instructing youth in the visual arts.
• Must be responsible, reliable, and punctual.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required.
• Associate Degree required; two years of related experience preferred.

CPNYC provides an array of youth development programming and services tailored to each child's individual strengths and challenges and fosters a unique uplifting environment to foster hope and resilience.Position Overview: Visual Arts Activity Specialists organize, lead, and promote interest in art activities. Instructors utilize and adapt the New York State Arts Learning Standards in order to create an engaging and rewarding activity that encourages participation in CPNYC programs.
